Day 6 just playing in unity

Really have not followed the Udemy course lately,  i feel like i been learning more about unity and just looking up how to code what i need at the moment.  I really should learn more C# code but I am Having to much fun just throwing things together.  But I have found the Post Processing stack and it is cool with some lens flare(might be a bit to strong yet),  it is cool. Just what i been throwing together.

Day 5 Making something for fun.

Hey everyone,  haven't been really doing any of the Udemy course.  What i have been doing is just messing around in unity throwing things together and seeing that i can do.  its crazy how easy u can put stuff together and make something kinda cool.  below is what i made.  there's nothing crazy just simple walking around. My game to play. The Island  Theirs not much to it but i put it together.  below the video is ther i got music and trees and skybox. music: https://www.bensound.com/ Skybox and tree assets: Skybox Cubemap Extended

Day 4 of unity udemy course.

Well again not to much,  been very long days at work and being sick early in the week is getting to me.  But we are at the weekend and hoping to get through a lot of this course and learn as much as i can.  Today was just refactoring the code a bit to make it more readable and able to restart the game.  cant wait to get further in and start doing some cool stuff but i know u got to know the basics to get more advanced.  By the way sorry for my horrible writing,  maybe someday ill get better but for now it is just a way to keep track and motivated on learning. Keep it up!!!!  Just the code after refactoring it. The wonderful output isn't it pretty.

Day 3 Number Wizardness

Been a few days since last post.  haven't done anything programing wise,  been pretty sick.  One day then my wife was sick the next so family first.  but any way back to what i did do.  Just some small things went over foxing so only one button would be pushed and now it counts up and down to get to the number.  pretty entertaining for what it is and knowing i basically made it.  but that's all for now.  heading to bed still feeling just run down.  keeping it coding.  Adding the math to get the guesses. The cool out puts that guessed my 251.

Day 2 Number Wizardness

Well day 2 if down.  didn't get thorough a lot but at least did some.  there was nothing to amazing but relearned to do player inputs and some basic debug printing.  makes me feel pretty good to actually remember some of it and doing the next step before the teacher starts.      P.S.  if you are taking this course and when you try and run it and there is no output from a button press,  click the game wind and it should start working.  took me forever to figure that out.     Keep it up.  What i did on the lessons i did this fine day.   The Output in Unity console.

First section done

Well the first section is complete.  theirs not to much there just a few things to setup everything and the Hello World.  I have done lot of this a few times so it was a bit boring but the teachers are pretty good and keeping it interesting.  Down below is just some resized screen shots of what I did,  nothing spectacular but i did it.Next lesson is a number wizard game.  sounds pretty cool to get a start with.  well that's a night for me.  See ya   First print statement "Hello World"  Changing the Hello world to something else.    What is showed in unity when it ran.

Starting Game Dev.

Hey all,  This is the first post on this blog to keep me motivated in learning more game dev programming.  I know a lot of the basics but never get much farther then that.  I am hoping that this with let me and maybe other look back on the start and see the improvements that will give all of us the push to keep going.  Just to say but i am in no way a writer as you can probably tell,  maybe ill get better but probably not.     Just a bit about me.  My game is Lucas,  I am married to my wife Jacky for almost 3 years and have 2 kids,  a 8 year old girl any and a 2 year old boy Ayden.  They pretty much dictate how much time i get to spend learning this great thing.     To start I am going with Unity and C#.  I am following a Udemy course that i kind of gone through before and liked.  It is Complete C# Unity Developer 2D: Learn to Code Making Games by Ben Tristem.     We...
